Monthly Newsletter:  July

Wow, we can’t believe July has started already. This is the last month for our U18 team to play this season. Please try to get to a game to watch and support them. I hope the younger girls had fun playing softball this spring and we hope to see you on the field again next spring!

• Leesport Community Days:

This event will be at the Leesport Playground on Friday, September 17^th from 5 -10pm and Saturday, September 18^th from 4-10pm.  We have rented a dunk tank again this year since it was a success last year.  Everyone had fun with the tank and we are hoping to do even better this year. If you would like to volunteer to go in the dunk tank or collect money, please let Lori LaFaver know when you are available so we can get a list made up as soon as possible. We would like to post the list of who is going into the dunk tank on the website for everyone to see.  Please come out and support SVGSA with the dunk tank and support the Leesport Community on this weekend.  The committee for Leesport Community Days has worked hard to bring this event to the area. There will also be fireworks on Saturday night at 10pm.

The coaches have been busy assisting the girls to learn the game of softball all season. Now it’s time for them to have a little fun and see if they can still play the game. There will be a coaches’ game on Sunday, July 25^th starting at 2pm at the Bern Pool Softball Field.  Come out and watch your coach play!

There will be positions open on the board as of the end of the year. We need some parents to “step up to the plate” and fill these positions. The association cannot be run without these positions being filled.  If you have any questions, please contact any board member listed below.
